Doug Deming is an American blues and roots guitarist/vocalist from Detroit, now based on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Winner of the 2013 Blues Blast Music Awards’ Sean Costello Rising Star Award, Doug blends influences from T-Bone Walker, Charlie Christian, and Robert Jr. Lockwood into his own traditional yet original style. He has released four albums, most recently Complicated Mess on EllerSoul Records, and has toured or recorded with legends like Kim Wilson, Lazy Lester, and Alberta Adams, as well as leading his band, The Jewel Tones. Their sound spans traditional blues, West Coast and Texas swing, and early ’50s roots rock—authentic, rockin’ rhythm & blues.
