Cash Box Kings feat. Cameron Webb
Cash Box Kings feat. Cameron Webb
For more than 25 years, the Cash Box Kings have played classic Chicago blues, early R&B, jump blues and Sun Records-era rockabilly. They call the mix “bluesabilly.” Harmonica player and Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee Joe Nosek leads the band. They’ve earned 25 Blues Music Award nominations and were named Band of the Year at the 2023 Blues Blast Music Awards. Their Alligator Records release Oscar’s Motel was the most-played blues album in the world in 2023. Out front now is lead vocalist Cameron Webb, a South Side native who grew up singing in his father’s Baptist church and brings gospel, soul and R&B to every set. Living Blues calls them “one of the best blues bands in the land,” and Dan Aykroyd put it more simply: “The Cash Box Kings rule the roost!”
