Richiman and Groove Nice: Seoul to Chicago
Richiman and Groove Nice are a Seoul-based blues band bringing the heart and soul of American blues to global audiences. Formed in 2018 as The Richiman Trio, they represented the Korea Blues Society at the 2019 International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, where frontman Richiman fell in love with the roots of the genre. Reborn in 2021 with a groove-driven sound, the band made history at the 2022 IBC as the first Korean blues act to reach the Top 5 Finals. Their powerful performances have taken them from Seoul to Chicago, sharing stages with legends like Buddy Guy. Their EP *Memphis Special: One Take Live* captures the raw spirit of their IBC set, while their debut full-length—recorded at Memphis’s famed Royal Recording Studio—shows why Richiman and Groove Nice are one of the most exciting rising voices in international blues.
